An improved way to search the Contracts Finder Archive has just been released by the data.gov.uk team. This will help users when searching in this archive of contracts, which covers public sector contracts put out for tender and/or awarded during four years to 25/2/2015.
When data.gov.uk launched the Contracts Finder Archive in July you could simply search for words in the title and description, but now you can search other fields like the buying organization, awarded company, and also filter for contracts by region, value and various dates.
The Contracts Finder Archive has attracted a reasonable amount of interest and usage, and we've had numerous requests to improve the search, hence this latest release. It brings its searching ability broadly into line with the old Contracts Finder that ran for four years until February (which the Contracts Finder Archiver replaces, to maintain access to its data). It also has several of the search filters seen on the new Contracts Finder.
